IMG_0396 I’m currently the Features Manager at amNY.com, the website of the newspaper amNewYork. Previously, I edited food and lifestyle print features at the paper, which has the highest circulation of any daily in Manhattan. Prior to joining am, I was a multimedia web editor at WNET New York Public Media’s multi-platform program MetroFocus, covering NYC news and culture. I also served as founding editor of Carroll Gardens Patch, a hyperlocal news website in Brooklyn run by AOL in 2011. My writing has appeared in The New York Times, the NY Daily News and the Village Voice as well as on the WNYC radio culture website. From 2009 – 2011, I wrote the music blog Microphone Memory Emotion and produced indie rock shows and parties. I graduated in the inaugural class of the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism in 2007 and returned as an adjunct professor in 2012.

I live in Crown Heights with my husband, daughter and cat.
